Some simple apps can be dragged to the trash but too many modern apps install bits and bobs all over the hard drive. Only the companies' uninstallers can get those.
Confirming Sparkleberry's advice to NEVER use generic uninstallers. They and the sites hosting them are fertile ground for adware and worse.
Quite the app, and drag it to the trash. Based on user reports here, promised app cleaners may get you into trouble.
