I was able to get a SIM card for my old iPhone 5s and when I try to connect it to iTunes it won’t connect so that I can reset it to factory settings or just make it into an iPod touch. I get the error message that it times out. I see that it attempts to make a call to my phone, but then quits and doesn’t connect. It is not on our cell service plan, but I would like to use wifi for the transition from phone to iPod touch. Suggestions?
