Exclamation Point / Question Mark upside down

Exclamation Point and Question Mark are upside down when typing.

The icon on the keyboard shows them correct, but when hold down on the button and get the pop-up, they both print inverted. Can't for the life of me figure out how to change it back. It's English (US) keyboard.

How about it you just tap the button instead of holding it down? The inverted forms are for use when you type Spanish.

FYI,

Device is iPad, so may be specific to its keyboard.

Below are images when you long press the buttons:

Spoke with apple support & found work around to cycle the shift key, then press the button & it will type it correctly. I’m not sure what the intention of using inverted question/explanation with an English keyboard; maybe whoever designed it types a lot in Spanish or does a lot of programming & they just made it for themselves. I’m pretty sure it used to work differently.

I can't remember either, but normally press and hold is used for special characters needed for other languages (try it for e or any vowel), while !? require shift or switching to one of the other keyboard levels. If you activate "key flicks", then you can get them by flicking your finger over the key and avoid need to hit the shift key.

Hi!,

Well, I'm Not An Expert But I'm Using A UK Keyboard So I Don't Know If It Helps.

When I Use The Keyboard, It Works Fine. When You Press Down On The Exclamation Mark / Question Mark, It Shows And Upside Down Figure Of It:

So, If You Want A Exclamation Mark / Question Mark (Not The Inverted Way Round), Just Let Go On The Desired Letter.
