Apple pay is not working

My old phone was Iphone 5, so it doesn’t have Apple pay. Then I bought a new one (Iphone Xr). First he worked then stopped. When I was paying, the cashier said me to remove the case so I did and Apple Pay worked, but then 2-3 days later I when I was trying to pay again it stopped working even when I removed the case. I really can’t understand what is the problem. I guess, maybe it’s factory defect or IOS problem

I have checked Apple Pay in settings for several times and everything is ok. I have tried to change my region from Russia to UK and nothing happened. It says “Hold near reader” I hold and still nothing happens. I have tried with password code without face id and still it doesn’t work. It doesn’t work anywhere, in any store. By the way a I have 2 cards and non of them don’t work. Well, I’ve signed out from my Apple Id and signed in then re-added my cards but it still doesn’t want to work. I’m upset and disappointed! I paid a lot of money for this Iphone and it doesn’t work! What an outrage?!

Yes, I’ve just contacted with Apple Support and they said that I need to do backup copy and upload new IOS. I will try maybe it could help.

Still isn’t working. A few days ago I upgraded to IOS 14.0.1 hoping to work but... nothing. I don’t know what to do. Your Apple Pay isn’t working too?

Yes, mine is XR. I think so. And I want to contact with Apple Support again. Maybe the could say what is the problem. Does it say something when you hold phone near reader? Or nothing happening?

Same. Recently I upgraded to IOS 12. I will try tomorrow maybe something has changed after that. But honestly I have no hope
