I clicked on an unsubscribe link in a suspicious email. Please help

I usually delete suspicious emails and txts, but in a fit of stupidity, I clicked on an unsubscribe link in a random - unsolicited email. Email bounced back and google search shows sent email address is highly suspicious for malware. 😶😣

Does this mean my iPhone 11 and stored data/card details have been compromised? Or my email address and details have been compromised?

My phone is not jailbroken and no apps appears suspicious or unusual, however my emails were super slow to load all day and inbox numbers changed constantly throughout the day.

I have turned off my wifi access and mobile data; and deleted my safari web browsing history and data a few times followed by phone restarts.

If it is my email compromised, how do I fix/correct?

also: is it worth obtaining anti malware software for my iPhone?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Lawrence,

Thank you for your reply!! I’ve heard Apple devices are more secure than most, however as I have not been in this position in the past, I thought I’d ask for peace of mind. I do have 2 factor authentication but will change my email password just in case.

As soon as I realised what I did I wanted to kick myself. I do know better and am now expecting to be inundated with spam.

I hope you have a lovely day/evening.

Cath
