Missing iCloud Folders - Garageband and others

About two or three weeks ago, my Garageband folders, both iOS and Mac, started disappearing when I went to my iCloud Drive. The folders were gone in whole or in part - meaning in Files on iPads and iPhones one or more Garageband folders were gone. Same on Macs. (I would periodically copy and paste projects from iCloud to local hard drives as a precaution.) I had not changed any iOS or OS on any item when this started. Due to various reasons I run iOS 11 through 13.5 as of now (depending on device) and they were all fine. On the Macs, Yosemite, Sierra, High Sierra (highest version). They all were fine. I did not change on anything on any of my devices.

I tried various suggestions, resetting preferences per Apple

defaults delete com.apple.g

Leonie's suggestion regarding opening the folder (which works)

open ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/*\~com\~apple\~mobilegarageband/Documents

Logging in and out of iCloud. On one laptop I logged out last night, then logged in. Only three of the iCloud folders are back. The others are gone (Pages, Numbers, Keynote and others are gone. There were a total of 14 such folders. My one computer still had 14 as of last night.)

The image below shows what I am describing (I hope :) ) a bit more.
