IPAD Pro not updating

My IPad Pro was working perfectly, until I was prompted to install the latest update. Now it says it can't install the update and I need to restore it to factory settings. I followed the steps and connected it to my computer, but I get an error message that says the update can't be installed. Do I have any other option than to restore to factory settings?

If you mean that when you choose update rather than restore and the update won’t work, then your only other option is to restore the device. If you have a backup, you can restore that after you restore to factory settings.
