Apple One Family Sharing
My wife has a 2TB ICloud Plan. I just got Apple One with Family Sharing. How does she cancel her plan while maintaining her storage on the Family Sharing of my account?

She doesn’t have to cancel it, she can keep both. Otherwise, she can cancel the normal way, and it will automatically switch to the Apple One storage.

Not quite, but almost. Her storage timed out, I went in to settings and clicked ‘share ICloud Storage’ and everything she had there before (about 2gigs) was there again. It is a little funny that I didn’t have a button to share before hers timed out, but basically just turned out to be a hiccup in a fairly seamless process.
Thanks for your help, folks. I backed up her files and went for it at the end of her billing cycle. Just as you said, she was notified that her storage was downgrading to the free 5GB plan and then I was presented with an option to share the 2TB from Apple One with her. Pretty seamless.
Thank you!
I am in the same situation. Can you confirm that this worked to migrate your wife to your new Apple One storage? I don't want to risk any data loss in the transition. Thank you!
Won’t know until her subscription ends, but I trust the answer based on the writer’s level and because it makes sense.
It should automatically change with no data loss, but its always recommended to have a backup of the important data when changing things around, in case the unthinkable happens.
I’m curious if your wife’s individual storage ended and everything automatically switched over to the new Apple One storage. Thanks!
