When sign in to some apps and websites, a one-time SMS passcode is sent to iPhone. It's required to enter the code into the app or website. iPhone can detect the passcode in Messages and display it above the keyboard.
When tap that OTP which is appear above the keyboard, it's not filled that input area.

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with SMS one time passcodes for apps and websites. As we understand, when you tap the passcode, it won't autofill.
Have you restarted your iPhone? Restart your iPhone
Does it work if you tap the spaces or area on the app you are supposed to enter the passcode?
