Authentication required accessing windows printer from iMac on a secondary user session

On my iMac Mac OS 10.15.7, I configured a windows printer (connected on a windows 10 PC) via my admin user. It works fine (I'm able to print on it). I have a second user account on the iMac, and when I try to print from this second session, I'm asked for authentication. I enter the windows 10 login and password and it keeps asking for authentication.

Any idea what's going on ?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help

Hi there Enzo from Buvrinnes,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you want to be able to print from your Mac to a printer connected to a Windows computer and it is working on one user account but not the other. Each user account would need to be set up separately.

This article shows how to set up a shared printer on your Mac side: Use your Mac to print to a printer connected to a Windows computer.

You may also need to check your printer settings on the Windows computer. This Microsoft article might help: Share your network printer.

If you are using a printer driver on the Windows computer, you may also need to set up printer sharing options through the driver.

We hope this helps!
