Facetime not showing camera selection menu

I have recently installed the Imaging Edge Webcam software to use my Sony ɑ6100 as an external webcam. The entire installation process went as expected and I am now able to use the camera in apps like Zoom and OBS.

However, if I launch FaceTime, I can't select the camera as the relative menu is not visible. (see image)

Shouldn't there be another selection menu to choose the camera, along the audio input and output menus?

As an update on this. I have abandoned the idea of using the Sony Imaging Edge, and actually found it works well if I use the micro-HDMI out from the camera and route it through an HDMI capture device (i.e. CamLink 4k by Elgato) and then direct it through usb to the Macbook. The selection appears as "CamLink 4K" and works as expected. The disadvantage to this is that you need whatever HDMI cord adapter from the camera and at least a hundred dollar HDMI capture device. It is my preferred method even for Zoom now, though, since I can use the micro-usb/usb-c port on the camera to keep it charged while web-cam is running.

I am having the same issue. Tried suggestion below original post and it did not allow it to work. Both FaceTime and Photo Booth do not detect the Sony A7R2 camera. Zoom does, works great! Please Apple, let FaceTime work. And if you don't we know it's because you have a new FaceTime camera coming, but if that's the case, then at least allow this for the interim.
