family sharing

I tried to set up family sharing a few years ago and had difficulty, so I just blew it off. I am now trying to do it again. When I go into settings and hit family sharing, a message pops up telling me that I'm already a member of my family, and I should ask myself for an invite.How do I handle this?

iPhone 8, iOS 14
