Unable to Remove TV Provider in Apple TV 4k

Hi,

I am trying to remove the TV Provider in Settings > Accounts > TV Provider > Remove TV Provider. I have Comcast/Xfinity and I have removed them from my phone however the option on the Apple TV is grayed out and there is no response when I click on it.

I am trying to avoid resetting my ATV to factory so that I don't have to setup the ATV again.

We have two active Apple TVs both configured using my Apple ID (same as on iphone). I am only trying to remove from the 4K at this point.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to fix an issue with the ESPN app and removing and readding the TV provider is one of the troubleshooting steps.

I had this same issue recently. I found that Xfinity's modem/router would automatically sign in. Try setting your iPhone to cellular and then use your phone's hotspot to connect your Apple TV. After that you should be able to sign out. After that change your connection back to wi-fi.
