Final Cut Pro X - need to center object in the frame that is not in the center of my clip

I have a clip where my subject is off-center. I would like to crop the clip and center the subject in the final video, but I don't have any guides or rulers in the preview pane. The simple transform drag centers on the clip center, so that's not helpful. Is there a guide/rule/grid that will show me where the center of the frame is?

You can use it to make calculations onscreen in real time since you have nine different reference points you can choose for the measurement tool.

You can also use it to design title layouts quickly, easily and actually be able to **save** your work for later use.
