Where is the "Done" button for mark-up PDFs in Mac Preview?

Where is the "Done" button referred to in instructions how to mark-up PDFs in Mac Preview? When I'm done marking up, the only option is to save and it won't allow me to do that. I see no "Done" button. Thanks!

I don't believe there is such a button. Clicking the Show Markup Toolbar button (icon) again will exit that mode.

Prevew automatically saves your annotations, unless there are permissions on the PDF that prevent changing it, in which case you would have to manually save the PDF to another filename. Since you are not in a dialog of any sort, there won't be an annotation done button.
