Show/Hide Contact Pictures in Messages iOS 14

Previous versions of iOS had an option in Settings > Messages to toggle "Show Contact Pictures". Now in iOS 14 this option isn't there so that I can hide contact pictures. I don't like the screen real estate that the pictures take up when I'm replying to a message. Is there any solution for this? Many thanks!
