Failed to open the system screen capture utility.

i just installed IshowU audio capture so i can record my calls with my friends. i dont know if the has anything to do this but whenever i try to screen record anything i get the same exact message. Failed to open the system screen capture utility. Try the screenshot app. so i opened the screenshot app, so i tried a little test but the file didnt even save. i have no what is happening and i havent found any answers online yet. please help.

ps, whenever i open quicktime player this icloud menu with nothing in it pops up. i dont know if it has to do with anything

That is unrelated. It shows an “Open …” dialog box, which defaults to the last open/save location, and initially to iCloud. As you may not have saved any QuickTime files in iCloud, that folder is empty. You can navigate to a folder on your Mac to open a file from there, or Cancel to do an action from the menu bar instead.
