Why the added complexity? As Denkoden points out above, there are added steps now. That’s not an upgrade. And strange that the functions in Mac OS and IOS are becoming more and more dissimilar. On a Mac: File > Export as PDF. On iPhone: share > Markup > done > save to PDF. This is not Apple user-friendliness. Is it just me, or do others often find themselves in these forums looking for answers to simple tasks that have gone missing or moved? It feels like it’s been getting worse over the last 2-3 years.

If you use notes with a Mac, you can export the note as a PDF by choosing File > Export as PDF. Those steps can also be found here: Import and export notes on Mac

Tap share > Print > Pinch OUT on the thumbnails from the print screen

Now it’s open as a PDF. Just tap share again and save file to wherever you want to.

Once you get the hang of it you’ll be able to save anything as a PDF in seconds. I do it for receipts all the time.

OMG ! why did they make this task so complicated? We must go through markup now ...

iOS 13 :

share > save to PDF

iOS 14 :

share > Markup > done > save to PDF
