Turn Off Reminders List Suggestions
Does anyone know how to turn off the suggested lists when creating a new reminder? It takes away the suggest as you type functionality which I use when I type.

I was having the same issue. To get rid of the suggested list while typing in a task, all I did was go into Settings>Reminders>Default List and tapped on Tasks (even though it was already checked as my default). Problem went away. Suggested list does not show up anymore in the predictive window. Hope this helps.

To deal with that annoying Quick Toolbar Suggested Lists I have found two alternative solutions that suit me. They are [1] In my lists (I have over 30) I have a list I call UNLISTED, this I have made my Default List. I place this List at the top of my Lists and use it to initially enter the majority of new Reminders. That annoying Toolbar suggesting List name/s does not appear and buttons to set a date and add an image are right there. Any other editing to that reminder is accessible through the ‘i’ button. [2] Where I know which List I wish a Reminder to belong I go that List and use +New Reminder. The result will be the same as described above, no annoying List suggestions.
I love Reminders but would find them ever so much better if (a) one could opt out of that Quick Toolbar (b) there was an Undelete button. I am aware of Shake to Undo but I find problems with that and choose to not activate it. As a result I occasionally accidentally delete a Reminder and curse the fact I cannot get it back other than by a very complicated cloud method.
Hold your finger on that unwanted list suggestion bar and upon release it will revert to spelling suggestions.
Greetings ifrnjkjdfhjkghjsfd,
We understand that you are having some difficulty using predictive text on your iPhone, and we'd like to help. Begin by following the guidance found here:

Use Reminders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Take care.
That wasn’t the question. The problem is when creating a reminder the app shows ‘suggested list’ as in since “you probably don’t know what list you want to use let us do that for you” kind of thing. How do we get it to stop 🛑
It’s even worse on iOS when you try to change the date of a reminder. Every time I go to click on “tomorrow” to postpone the reminder, the suggested list box pops up (it has a lag) and I always accidentally click the list suggestion (since it now sits where I was going to press). So my reminders wind up in lists that don’t make any sense. It’s horrible. They need to allow us to turn off the stupid suggestions.
This is a very annoying behaviour. Enough for me to stop using the Apple Reminders app.
"Things" is way better anyway.
Yes, I have the same issue.... It only happened after the upgrade to Big Sur... it happens everytime I click on a reminder, which makes using the app on the Mac a very frustrating experience. I even created a username here to say this.
This happens to me, too, every time. It takes twice as long to update my reminders list because I have to keep changing the reminders back to their original lists while I try to change the scheduled reminder times. It's incredibly frustrating.
Whenever I try the suggestion from Amaki1938, it still assigns the reminder to that list. Very frustrating! We need the ability to turn off the list suggestion.
This was not the answer to the question and was not helpful...
Yess! This is so frustrating. When i go to change the date or time of that reminder it just pops up and i miss click every time. Very annoying man
