Turn Off Reminders List Suggestions

Does anyone know how to turn off the suggested lists when creating a new reminder? It takes away the suggest as you type functionality which I use when I type.

I was having the same issue. To get rid of the suggested list while typing in a task, all I did was go into Settings>Reminders>Default List and tapped on Tasks (even though it was already checked as my default). Problem went away. Suggested list does not show up anymore in the predictive window. Hope this helps.

To deal with that annoying Quick Toolbar Suggested Lists I have found two alternative solutions that suit me. They are [1] In my lists (I have over 30) I have a list I call UNLISTED, this I have made my Default List. I place this List at the top of my Lists and use it to initially enter the majority of new Reminders. That annoying Toolbar suggesting List name/s does not appear and buttons to set a date and add an image are right there. Any other editing to that reminder is accessible through the ‘i’ button. [2] Where I know which List I wish a Reminder to belong I go that List and use +New Reminder. The result will be the same as described above, no annoying List suggestions.

I love Reminders but would find them ever so much better if (a) one could opt out of that Quick Toolbar (b) there was an Undelete button. I am aware of Shake to Undo but I find problems with that and choose to not activate it. As a result I occasionally accidentally delete a Reminder and curse the fact I cannot get it back other than by a very complicated cloud method.

It’s even worse on iOS when you try to change the date of a reminder. Every time I go to click on “tomorrow” to postpone the reminder, the suggested list box pops up (it has a lag) and I always accidentally click the list suggestion (since it now sits where I was going to press). So my reminders wind up in lists that don’t make any sense. It’s horrible. They need to allow us to turn off the stupid suggestions.
