should i update my software on my MacBook pro?

Do i need to update from Sierra on my MacBook Pro?

Well, I run Catalina or later on all my Macs. However, older 32bit apps will not run in Catalina. If you have 32bit apps they would have to be updated if possible or replaced.

If you want to continue to use older 32bit apps then don't upgrade beyond Mojave.

You can check what 32bit apps you may have by running Go64.

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2016 which runs on Sierra . As far as i know i think the latest software is Catalina. I think this is compatable with my MacBook Pro. Would you recommend i do this?

That’s good to know thanks . Though I’ve not idea how to check on my Apps and if they are 32bit Apps . I don’t even know what that means . I do update all my Apps regularly .
