Hoyle Casino crash in OSX VM

I am preparing to upgrade to Catalina (finally), but I know Hoyle Casino is a 32 bit app and will not work so I created a Mojave VM (10.14.6) using VMware Fusion (11.5.6) and tried to run it there, but it failed to open. No splash screen or anything. It just crashes before anything gets displayed on the screen. I suspect it has something to do with the emulated display because it runs fine on my iMac. Anyone know of a workaround to get this running in a VM like this?

VMware, macOS 10.14

I actually read through the crash report and found the thread that crashed. It was calling glClear (CopyToScreen). Based on "gl" prefix of that function call, I'm guessing this is openGL which confirms the dependence on accelerated graphics. I guess the only option is the dual boot as you suggested. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Much appreciated!
