Can't Stop iPhone XS From Dimming!
I know this has been a problem for a lot of users and answers are all over the Web, except those answers don't work for me. It doesn't matter if I am in the sun or in bed in the dark. It will reduce brightness in two steps. When in the sun my screen will be so dark that the phone is unusable! It is not overheating due to the ambient temperature. For 11 years of owning an iPhone I've never had this problem, even in Death Valley at 120 F, until recently.
I always have the latest iOS when released.
- Settings / Accessibility / Display & Text Size: Everything is off except text size.
- Settings / Display & Brightness: I've tried True Tone on and off. Night shift off. Appearance Automatic is off.
- Settings / Battery: Low power mode is off. Auto-brightness disabled.
Are there any other hidden settings that will stop this behavior?
