How to lock a file in iOS Files app?

How do I lock a file in the iOS Files app?

(Same as on Mac, checking “Locked” in file info.)

Thanks for clarifying exactly what you are looking to do. We apologize for the misunderstanding. The Files app will not allow you to make a file 'read-only' on the iPad.

Hello ebouy,

We understand you'd like to lock the files on your iPad as you do on your Mac and we're happy to help. You can only lock PDFs on the Mac. On the iPad, you are able to lock notes in the Notes app as listed here: How to lock notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

You can lock any file on your Mac, not just PDF’s. Less, you’re confusing this with locking a note so no one can see it.

I’m talking Locking it to make it read-only. You can do that with any file on Mac, but I don’t see how to do it on iOS.
