Airpods Pro Siri response to long messages

Every single time I receive a message that is too long for Siri to announce, she says "by the way, if you want to text back you can say reply". It is incredibly annoying. Is this normal?

Hey there eklay,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you do not want Siri to announce the option of replying. We're happy to provide some assistance.

Check out this article for how Siri announcements work here:

But you’re unable to? Yes, the question was about whether this repetitive and useless message (she only reminds me that I can reply when she can’t actually read me the whole message) was normal. Implied there is a question about whether it’s possible to prevent this. The article you provided makes no mention of this issue.

Am I to understand from that that the only way to prevent this repetitive message is to disable message announcements altogether?

Thanks for the feedback link. I’ll be sure to use it. I can not imagine that anyone has ever gotten any use out of this message after the first occurrence. If this is the expected behavior I’m frankly surprised I couldn’t find more people complaining about it.
