My TTY messages are not going through

My TTY messages will not go through to who I am communicating with.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide information to help you get TTY working on your iPhone again.


Do you see the TTY symbol in the status bar? If not, go to Settings > Accessibility > RTT/TTY to turn TTY on. If it is on, try toggling the feature off, restarting your iPhone, then turn TTY on again before testing.

Review the information listed in the following guide. Since your iPhone XS Max support dual SIM, be sure to choose the correct line if you have that feature set up.

Also, it is important to remember that RTT and TTY aren’t supported by all carriers or in all countries or regions. Double check with your carrier to make sure this is supported on your plan.
