If this is due to a back-end server issue at Microsoft, which evidence might suggest, there is nothing that can be done until Microsoft themselves resolve the problem.

For the benefit of clarity, the issue to which I make explicit reference, preceded release of iPadOS 14.2.

I’m having the same problem. Both Hotmail and Live Wallpaper stopped working on my iPhone 11 after the 14.2 update. Both worked perfectly with the initial 14 update.

My hotmail is still working. Sometimes you need to go into the settings and delete then re-add email addresses after an update. Have you tried that?
