Sudden Shut-down & Reboot Loop

I was playing Civilzation V on my brand new MacBook Pro, when in the middle of the game, the fans made a "whooshing" noise and the Mac restarted (and I was winning the game, LOL).

The Mac attempted to restart but "whooshed" again and restarted. It did this several times, and I wondered if this new machine is incapable of playing games or do intense graphics work (in Adobe Creative Suite for example, when I decide to do "work before play").

Finally it restarted, and I'm typing this message with the MacBook Pro that had the troubles. Perhaps indeed it needed to cool. Seriously? :(

Thanks for any tips or advice or insight.

Kernel Panics are predominately caused by hardware faults or faulty third-party kernel extensions.
