Using iPhone Calendar Screen Frozen

This is ridiculous! Apple fix your issue. I have the same problem and nothing has worked. I use my iPhone 11 more regularly for work than personal so obviously, the calendar app is needed. Correct your software/updates PLEASE!

See TexAmato's solution, posted above: turn your phone "sideways" to landscape mode and you should see the Calendar. Turn it back to "portrait" orientation, and the Calendar will continue to show correctly.

Works for me, and I have to do it about twice a week, even on my fully-updated phone. <smh>

I think I discovered the issue and how to fix it. If you turn your phone to landscape mode, you’ll now see your calendar. I noticed the invite inbox box was enabled in this view. I disabled and haven’t experienced the issue now for a week whereas before it was occurring several times a day.

This worked for me too. Thanks TexAmato. I do want to say that it is extremely stupid that I have to rotate my phone to get to the calendar. Apple if you are listening fix this issue. I will admit rotating the phone is better than force closing and opening again but still makes no sense whatsoever that this is happening.

I have the same problem. My calendar screen is black with “No invitations” in white at the center of the screen.

I have rebooted several times, turned all calendars off, etc. The calendar app is totally useless because it’s stuck at this screen. What can I do?

I’ve had the same issue for over a month on my iphone11. After reading this thread, tried to adjusting my Settings and all of a sudden it works. Let see how long it holds.

I’ve never worked within this community. I’m having the same issue and neither work-around proposed by tech support helped. It also started for me just after the iOS update.

Is there a way to get tech support to weigh in again? I’m not sure why they didn’t respond again after seeing everyone respond that their advice did not resolve the issue.

Support’s latest advice was to backup then wipe the device and restore. Worked for 2 days this time, then back to the problem.

In contrast, my other phone - iPhone 7 running iOS 14.2 -does NOT have the problem. Seems to be exclusive to iPhone 11 and this software update?

Does it really not help you people to just force close (swipe up in the app switcher) the app? That’s messed up. At least for me I can force close the app that way and when starting the app again it works.

It helps one time but if I move to the Home Screen or any other app and go back again, I get the frozen invite screen again. I’m looking for a solution that doesn’t require me to force close the calendar every single time I want to view it.

Apple needs to fix this obvious software glitch. I can't even swipe the app out of memory to fix it - I had to shut down the phone and then restart it. It made me not want to use the iPhone calendar app. However the landscape mode is a good temporary fix.

I have this issue, as well, and restarting the phone and force quitting the calendar app didn’t help. What other options are there? The rest of my apps seem to be working fine.

I have the same problem. Force quitting the app fixes it but it will appear again after some time/days
