How do I delete some of my wi-fi networks?
How do I delete some of my wi-fi networks?
Another aspect of such lists, may/not be to try & remove name of yours from public view.
Ideas are sprinkled about online, like indiscriminate fertilizer; some 'help ideas' take root.
Others are simply obsolete; or like leaf-litter, awaiting the springtime mulch-mower.

If you can, make clever plans that work: to keep track of your wi-fi passwords. Especially with
more than two accounts; per base station. ~ Main and Guest. (Plus other, for 2nd channels.)
Randomized ones work OK, until they don't. I'd almost suggest to write PW on piece of tape
then stick that on bottom of wireless router! At 3AM & 8 hrs of guesses, I wished that simple.

If you are referring to the System Preferences : Network panel : Advanced : Wi-Fi tab's listing of network names in this panel, you can select those that you don't recognize, or no longer want in this list and use the [-] button to remove them. You can also drag and drop your own Wi-Fi network names to the beginning of the list. Don't forget to click Apply on the main Network panel to save your changes.
If you have multiple Wi-Fi configurations on the main Network panel screen, you can select the one you don't want or use, and from the ⚙︎v button, you can choose to inactivate the particular Wi-Fi item, or remove it entirely with the [-] button adjacent to the gear icon. Use care in this process or you could end up without a wireless connection solution.
You can do nothing about the network names listed by your menu extras Wi-Fi icon when you select it.
You cannot eliminate those neighbors's Wi-Fi names from that Wi-Fi chip's discovery list. People have been asking to do that for years, and it is not possible.
Just ensure that you have a strong password set on your wireless router, so others will see that it is locked too.
No, you can't delete them. You'll see all WiFi networks in range of your device.
When I click the WiFi symbol at the upper right side ,I get a list. This list includes NEIGHBORS addresses. These are the addresses that I'm trying to delete (eliminate)
