emails to my @me address rejected by server

For some reason I can no longer receive emails to my @me address. When I send a test email I get a message saying the recipients address was rejected by the server. All my existing emails are showing in my inbox but when I click on them it prompts my to ‘download’ the email. When I try this, no content downloads, just the subject line etc.

Sending Email Issue Using Apple Mail app. I found an odd issue when using the Apple mail app. When creating a new email message and inserting my email address from the contact list, the email gets rejected by the server. When I create another email and manually type in my email address the email does not get rejected by the server. I tried deleting my contact and recreating my contact. The email continues to be rejected by the server when using the my contact email address. This only happens when I try to send email to myself using the my email address in my contacts. Manually typing the email address in the to: field... the email goes right through. Both emails are exactly the same. Very odd....

I'm getting the message when I try to send email that the server rejected one of the recipient's addresses. Which server do they mean? Apple of my email provider? Hello DrIce00,

We understand you are unable to receive emails to your @me.com email address and we're happy to help. Are you able to receive emails if you change the ending to @iCloud.com? Also, does the issue still occur after restarting the device you are using?
