Sending Email Issue Using Apple Mail app.

I found an odd issue when using the Apple mail app. When creating a new email message and inserting my email address from the contact list, the email gets rejected by the server. When I create another email and manually type in my email address the email does not get rejected by the server. I tried deleting my contact and recreating my contact. The email continues to be rejected by the server when using the my contact email address. This only happens when I try to send email to myself using the my email address in my contacts. Manually typing the email address in the to: field... the email goes right through. Both emails are exactly the same. Very odd....

Hey there russellfromfort worth,

We understand you're experiencing an issue with being unable to send emails to one email address when auto-filled, and we'd like to see how we can help.

To start, we'd like to ask a few questions to better understand the issue:

  • Do you notice the same issue on any other devices?
  • Are you able to send the email through a web browser?

Also, check out the steps here: If you can’t send email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers!
