Car play can’t hear caller

I have a brand new Volkswagen Tiguan. Car play has been working fine until today. When I call someone or they call me they can’t hear me. I noticed the contact is grey instead of white on my phone when I’m calling and this happens. have restarted car and phone multiple times.

2017 Toyota Corolla and iPhone 13 Pro Max Call Issues Hi. I drive a 2017 Toyota Corolla. I just upgraded from an iPhone 8 Plus to the iPhone 13 Pro Max. My car does not have CarPlay. Ever since the upgrade I have had issues with calls. I can hear the caller just fine. But they cannot hear me. We have both checked our call signals after trying this multiple times, and both are strong signals. I’ve called other people, and they have the same problem. So phone signal does not appear to be the problem. The music connection plays fine as well. It is only the other user who cannot hear me. Why is this happening? I am using the latest iOS software so an update doesn’t appear to be the solution either. To be clear: I had no issues with my iPhone 8 Plus and car connectivity. This is strictly on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.
