My previous MacBook had a key that when pressed showed all open windows in miniature. My new MacBook doesn't. How do I get that feature? There must be a keyboard command.

It should be the "F3" key.
So you have a MacBook Pro? Not a MacBook? Try "ctrl up arrow".
My keyboard has no F3 key. The bar along the top, where those keys previously appeared, is now just soft keys.
In case you miss it, pressing the "fn" key should show you the Function Keys in the Touch Bar.
The fn key showing the F keys on the touch board was news to me. Thanks for that. HOWEVER, F3 doesn't produce the effect I'm looking for--in fact it produces now noticeable effect at all.
Check System Preferences > Mission Control, check which shortcut is set for "Mission Control".
