My iphone won't switch on

My iphone won't switch on after I charged it up. It lit up while on charge and 5 mins later when I tried to switch it on there was no life in it at all. A couple of weeks ago I tried to use it and just got a white screen no home screen. It stayed that way for around 24 hours then just started working again, does anyone know what i can do?

you could book an appointment to have a genius look at your phone:

if your battery is completely drained it can take more then five minutes to charge. Try charging it for at least 20 minutes. If it turns on at all. you can try a hard reset:

ok i have a problem my iphone will only come on when i plug it up to a wall charger or computer for a while itunes wouldnt recognize it bu i held the home button down while i plugged it in and it recognized it and started to restore it but then it said iphone cannot be restored a unknown error has occured if anyone can help me out tht would be awesome thnx
