can't delete partition (disk0s2) - OSX seems to be in the wrong volume (disk1)

hi guys! hope y'all are doing fine these crazy times.

going straight to the point,

i CAN NOT DELETE a partition.

disk utility:

"only can combine this partition with one that comes before her"

(msg is something like it, sorry my OS is not in english)

IT SEEMS to me that

dev/disk0s2 & dev/disk1

are in INVERTED PLACES...

i leave the terminal description:

I don't use TM so I'm not sure exactly how it works, but considering there are multiple ways to install apps I think you are better off downloading & reinstalling the third party apps since from my understanding of how TM works you either restore everything (apps & user accounts) or you restore individual files.

I would not delete the old TM backup yet since it possibly includes items from years ago.

It wouldn't hurt to get another external drive to start a new TM backup.

Perhaps another more experienced contributor can advise you on the TM aspects.

I think you will need to make sure you have a current backup (You should always have frequent & regular backups), then erase the whole physical drive and restore or migrate from the backup.

I recommend creating a bootable macOS USB installer just in case something goes wrong since it provides more options:

hello again,

i got a new hd and i'm about to do this and i want to follow your suggestion of create a bootable os just in case..

but i cant find Yosimite dmg download/image.

is this possible to find?

i think i want/have to keep my system where it is for the moment.

thank you! it work, i deleted everything from startup disk uti and reinstalled from the bootable drive.

just one more question, if i don't disturb you, thanks again

i have made a time machine backup in a drive

but i want to bring in just some softwares, so i guess i have to set up time machine

inside my new os x

and not by full restoration right?

on that case if i open time machine and choose the that same drive with the time machine backup

IT WILL BE ALL PART OF A NEW TIME MACHINE

OR I RISK DELETE THE OLD TIME MACHINE BACKUP, wich is what interest me, if i reset new os x time machine

over that old folder?
