Why do calendar invites that I send come from noreply@email.apple.com?

The topic is my question. People say they don’t get my invitations. I sent a couple to myself and noticed they come from noreply@email.apple.com instead of my email address. Why? How can I change that so they come from my email address instead?

Hi FFC-Pro,

We're glad you've come out to Apple Support Communities for help with this question you've got about Calendar invites. We can confirm that this is expected behavior. While the sending address will be delivered directly from Apple servers using the email address you mentioned, the invitation email will indicate who is sharing the calendar in the subject and body of the message.

We welcome your suggestions, so we’d like to share a great link to submit your feedback about this:

Hi FFC-Pro,

Yes, that's right. When sending an invitation to share a calendar in iCloud, the recipient will receive the invitation from the email address mentioned - noreply@email.apple.com - even if the recipient is in your contacts and known to have an existing iCloud account.

If using a third-party calendar service provider, such as Google Calendar, the process of sharing calendars will vary by provider.

Take care!

Thank you. I spoke with an Apple Support representative who escalated my question to her Supervisor, Nettie. I shared my screen with Nettie. She checked a few things on my Mac Book Pro and took me to this Apple web page. https://support.apple.com/guide/calendar/invite-people-to-events-icl1016/11.0/mac/10.15 She then explained that even if I have a valid email address for someone, they will not get a calendar invitation from me unless I already have their email address in my Contacts or I know in advance that they too use the same service provider as my calendar account (i.e. iCloud). I don't remember that ever being the case before and I've been using Apple Calendar for nearly a decade, but apparently that's the way it is now. Are you also saying that even if I meet those requirements (i.e. the email address of the recipient of my event invitation is already in my Contacts or that I know they too use iCloud for their Calendar account) they will still receive my event invitation from noreply@email.apple.com instead of the email address I set up my iCloud Calendar account with? The problem with the noreply@eamail.apple.com address is it ends up in peoples' Junk folder or they see it in their InBox and are suspicious about opening it.
