how do you know which developer added the extension that won't be compatible with future software updates?

I just got a pop up that my Legacy extensions won't be compatible with future updates and I should contact the developer to find out if they are going to upgrade. But

how do you know which developer added the extension that won't be compatible with future software updates?

Depends on whether the developer made the information easily identifiable.

If you run this command (copy/paste) in Terminal, you can see the name of the kernel extension.

kextstat | grep -v com.apple 

That may have enough information in the name to identify the developer.
