iPad Pro crashes

Hi!

I bought the iPad Pro 2020 12,9“ just a month ago, but from day one I have been experiencing issues with it. By issues I mean that my iPad crashes from time to time already when doing just a little multitask.

As already said it is brand new, has iPadOS 14.2 running on it, there‘s plenty of empty storage available. I already forced a restart, as I read that this often solves most software-related issues. But nothing has changed and none of the people that own the exact same iPad model are experiencing this problem.


Please help I don‘t know much about tech stuff. :(

After updating iPadOS, have you checked to make sure all of the apps on your iPad are up to date? The guidance found here can help: Update apps or use automatic downloads

Hi!


As I am using the iPad primarily for Uni and that’s why I’m currently heavily utilizing the Word, Goodnotes and Zoom app. I asked some of my friends that use the same apps and they’ve not encountered the problems I have.


Usually it happens at least 5 times a week but today it kept crashing every 5 minutes until I forcefully restarted it (for the second time now).

After the iPad crashes, it powers down, shows the spinning gear and powers back on.

So we can offer the most relevant assistance, we'd like to ask some questions to help us learn more about what you're encountering. First, have you noticed any patterns to the occurrence? Does it happen when using a specific app, or multi-tasking with the same apps?


How often has this been happening? Is the iPad powering off, or are you seeing an app or apps quit?


If the iPad powers off, do you see a spinning gear, or an Apple logo? Does it power back on by itself, or are there additional steps you need to take before you can use it again?


We'll look forward to hearing your response, and providing information and next steps based on what we learn.
