Apple tv is just blinking

What to when the Apple tv just blinks and does not respond to the remotes signal? The screen tells me to contact support (triangle message). The remote is charged. I have tried to disconnect power an signal cabel.

What is your model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

Try disconnecting from power for a minute or two.

If the issue persists, it may need a restore of the system software. Restore your Apple TV - Apple Support
