No Messages notifications after update to iOS 14.2

I have the same issue with AT&T and the iphone 12!

I have this issue too after updating to iOS 14.4. It’s super frustrating because everyone thinks I’m blowing them off. If anyone has a solution, please let me know.

It was resolved in 14.3, but I have had it happen a few times in 14.4 since updating. It s ucks that the problem is back.

Yep! Add me to the list of people having this problem. I’ll get a notification for a text message, but none after that so I’m constantly missing people’s replies to my messages sent to them. When this happens, I’m not getting notifications on my Apple Watch either.

Is anyone else getting sick of all these bugs introduced to every new version of iOS?? It just gets worse.

I asked my older brother because his gf also has the same issue and she told me is because of the update it's really bad and the bad software update mess the our phone and our messages up that is why we have the issue and I guess we have to wait until another new update is going to launch to fix these bugs and everything I hate this update and apple ain't doing nothing about it.

I have been marking every message that’s been affected with a thumbs up in the hope that info will be helpful for my case and the info the engineers have, otherwise I’ll be waiting for 14.3 to hopefully fix it but it’s seriously annoying. While on the phone to apple I was sending iMessages to myself from a different phone and my phone was locked and did nothing but on the other phone the text was marked as read straight away. So I am hopeful to have enough evidence of the glitch for them to be able to fix it

With my case with apple there was talk that the next fix would be to reset my phone to factory settings so I hope the engineers come back with a solution before resorting to this option 🤦🏼‍♀️ We tried re installing 14.2 in recovery mode, I reset the phone and then put my iCloud back up back on, tried changing messages settings turning the phone on and off and nothing worked. I have to say Alex who I have been dealing with has been great, just a waiting game if the engineers will come back with a solution after I gave them diagnostics data and time stamps of which of my messages were affected by no notifications. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I had an issue where it wouldn’t notify me when I got a message no ping as stated no nothing. What ended up happening was that somewhere in my messages one had failed to send who knows when and it was bugging it to where I wouldn’t receive notifications. I reset all the settings not the phone just all the settings and it worked. Hope this helps anyone.

One thing I have found that is a “work around” but super annoying to do is close the message app completely after every text you send. Make sure it delivers and then close your app. You should get notifications then. Super frustrating having to do that though.

Unfortunately, I've been doing this (closing out of my message app) today constantly and it's still happening. I would say it's happening less but at least 2 or 3 texts that I know of have come in with no notifications when I am positive I had closed out of the message app prior. So I can say this is not a 100% effective work around.

I know it seems funny, but this was happening to me too for the past for weeks, just found this turned off which I didn’t do.

Must be nice that 14.3 did the truck for you. That’s really great. It crashed my IPhone 11 Pro. Let me guess, you have a brand New 12? Nothing is fixed it’s all worse. I have like 2000 messages voicemails and calls and I don’t know about any of them. One thing I do know, I can’t run a business with an Apple phone right now. Going to have to ditch.

Hi all, I just want to report I was part of the group that was reporting missing text notification... I did update my software yesterday to 14.3. I am please to report so far so good, not missing any texts, even tried to coax it into doing it, and it's all good. Also the delayed texting when you first start typing a text seems to have been fixed as well. Yayyy Apple!! I have an iphone XS by the way.

I had this issue with my watch. I went watch app on my phone and in contacts I stopped mirroring my phone, then switched it back to mirror my phone and it fixed it for me
