help to put the verification code

hello i have an iphone 3gs and when i go to put my icloud it asks me to enter my password followed by the verification code that appears on other devices but i do not know where to put the verification code.

iPhone 3GS, iOS 6

If you see a password box, enter the password (ABC) followed by the code (123) or ABC123 (no spaces).
