Missing text messages in group text

I am missing several texts, in a group chat. My wife, in the same group, is getting the texts.

I had the problem on my iPhone X, and now having the same problem on my iPhone 12 Pro. In the group of 8 friends all have iPhones, but 2 have Google phones.

I have done the following:

1) deleted both Google contacts (the two friends in the group), and re-entered

2) Several Network resets (then turning off, back on)

3) Called T-Mobile (my service provider) and troubleshooted everything with them, including cell tower resets.

4) Reset All Settings. Pain in the booty!

5) Changed “Preferred Line” to My Cell Number. This only appeared after I missed three texts from three different contacts and this appeared on the contact’s edit page... but is no longer available.

6) Stayed cell only , turned off Wi-Fi (thinking there was a transfer issue when leaving home. Missed a bunch while out running errands).

I thought I was in the clear after finding the Preferred Line... but still missing texts

I contacted support yesterday and they said they will research my issue then dropped the chat. They do not know how to resolve the issue either. There are other discuss threads in the apple community going through the same issue. Check out this one too https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251976300. Did not have this issue with my iPhone X and as I upgraded to the 12 pro, I’m having this issue.

We understand that certain text messages are missing from group text messaging threads and you have performed some great troubleshooting to attempt to resolve the issue. We’d like to help however we can.

To confirm, are you only not getting these texts from the two contacts with Android devices or are messages from other contacts also not coming through? Are you able to message these contacts individually without issue?

Have you also left the group text message and rejoined?
