Cannot call using Call button

On my iPhone (iOS 14.1) if I go to Recents, tap the info button on a number or contact and then tap the "call" button, nothing happens. Why?

If the button says "mobile" instead, it seems to work.

That can't be right. Same problem occurs whether it's a stored contact, an answered call or a number that I've dialed. Tapping the number/contact in the Recents list initiates a phone call, so there must be something wrong with the button itself.

That means either there is no phone number stored or the phone number stored is in the incorrect format. Delete and add the contact again. Do not provide any spaces between the numbers iPhone will select the format based on country code prefix.

Also if I search for a contact using iOS's search and tap the round phone button in the result, nothing happens. I need to open the contact and tap the phone number. Must be a bug.
