iPhone 8 plus copy & paste not working.

We understand that you’re able to select text on your iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 14.1, but you’re not seeing the option to copy or paste it. We want to make sure you’re able to select and edit your text, so we’re happy to see if we can help.

When you have the text selected and you tap within the selection, does the black box pop up with options at all? If it does, but copy and paste are not available, is it unavailable in all apps? If you haven’t tried already, try copying and pasting text in an app that came with your iPhone like Mail or Messages. This is a good isolation step to let you know where to focus your troubleshooting.

Alternatively, you may be able to use gestures to copy and paste. Instead of tapping for the copy/paste options, try pinching closed with three fingers to copy and then pinch open with three fingers to paste. The motion is kind of like you're grabbing the text to pick it up, and then releasing it to paste it elsewhere.
