Apple repair status stuck at "We’ll be sending your product to the repair center soon."

My Apple repair status is stuck at "We’ll be sending your product to the repair center soon." I dropped it at the local Apple store 7 days ago. I am on a borrowed computer and the owner is starting to grumble.
