PROBLEMS WITH iPHONE 12 AND HEARING AID COMPATIBILITY.

I have just purchased an iPhone 12ProMax but am alarmed at the issues other purchasers are having with its compatibility with their Bluetooth enabled hearing aids.

My aids are Sivantos Styletto X... and I have been having issues with iOS 14 - now blaming it rather than the aids as so many people having problems. Mine keep switching from one to the other or switching off. Seems to be a Bluetooth problem related to the iOS updates????

I am concerned about the new phone though as I purchased it for the camera but can't live without hearing either!!!

Apple needs to sort this...as quickly.

"I have been in contact with Apple and they said they are getting closer to a fix. Until then I was told to go into settings - accessibility - Hearing Devices - top item, MFI hearing devices - Uncheck “Stream to left hearing device”. Do this until we get an update fix. I have not had the static noise since I did this. You will only hear with your right hearing aid until it is fixed." [Source]

I too recently upgraded from Xs max to 12 pro max and I am also having this issue with my resound hearing aids. I have found that while a hearing aids connection is glitching that if I go into accessibility and stop streaming to the hearing aid that is WORKING the glitching hearing aid begins to work normally. I have also found that sometimes its the right that glitches and other times it the left. I believe the iPhone twelve is having issues streaming to two mfi channels at the same time. I am hoping someone can repeat my findings and perhaps give apple another clue. Like many, if this isn’t fixed soon I’ll return the 12 and go back to the old xs max.
