Apple ID
I can’t change my apple id to the email address i want. it’s saying “ you can only add the @icloud.com address that is already on file in your account. “ i’ve tried signing out but it’s not working, please help.

If you have an iCloud email address that isn't on file in your account, you have a separate Apple ID. You can't merge Apple IDs by using the email address from one account on another account.
