Instagram not formatted to iPhone 12 Pro?

My mom’s 12 had the same issue. I updated her IG app in the App Store. That fixed the issue :)

no resolution. I spoke to a rep at Verizon and they said Instagram will have to send out an update to resolve the issue. I really hope they are working on it. Insta videos look so terrible! In the meantime, if you login to insta from your phone on the internet but not on the app the videos are clear.

I was having the same issue. Came to check if others were experiencing it as well. Updated my IG app and it fixed the formatting issue. Yay!

Update your Instagram on App Store

I updated the App and it took care of the composition issue - but now I can’t post to Instagram and have it go to Facebook at same time for my business account. I’ve googled it and tried logging out on all accounts and back in but no luck. It worked just fine until I got the 12. Argh!

Yeah I’m having the same problem. One of the main reasons for upgrading to a 12 Pro was to boost my Instagram business (better photos etc) so I’m very disappointed to find Instagram doesn’t work right on it. The worst issue for me is when I’m trying to post, the top of the text box is cut off so I can’t see the top line I’m writing. I’ve resorted to writing out my post in my Notes app instead, then pasting it in. Not very convenient.

Sounds like Instagram has to update their app to fit the new screens.

I wrote 3 times, no answer. It seems to be account-related. When I use a different account, everything is clear. On the other hand all videos are clear when I use my notebook. No idea whats going on but its incredible annoying.

Instagram videos are blurry and low quality. Everything is fine when I try it with a different account. Most of the iPhone 12 (pro, max ..) users have the same problem. We don't want to change instagram account.

I am facing issue in tagging my friends in the post. The Tap photo to tag people option is not working. The same account I tried in other IPhone and Android phones, I worked fine. No solution has been given to my issue so far.

That’s because that feature is at the top. If you pull the screen down the search bar appears but snaps off screen immediately so it’s unusable. Do the post, then try to add the location later if you can get to the edit option.

Did this get resolved for you? I have the 12 pro Max, just bought it two days ago... Instagram videos look so terrible and pixelated on my feed. YouTube vids look great and Facebook isn’t as poor quality but not great. This is my first iPhone I never had an issue like this with any of my androids.

I´ve got an 11 Pro but since a few days suddenly the quality of instagram videos I like to watch turned into horrible blurry and pixelated. Facebook and youtube is fine, also when I watch stories or reels via notebook its clear and not blurry. Could you fix the problem somehow? Tts really annoying :(

I'm personally having an issue tagging people on a new post on the iphone 12 pro max. When I tap to tag on the photo, nothing happens, like the screen doesn't registers my tap. Has anyone heard about this issue??

I tried to update my instagram but it was last version. If you could delete instagram on App Store, may be it could work, but when i deleted instagram it is still staying in cloud. That’s meaning i can not delete like never download..
