iPhone inadvertent calls

Is there a way to prevent inadvertent outgoing iPhone calls? When the phone is unlocked, I’ve made many unintended calls simply by touching the screen. My thought is that I wish phone calls required a double tap or a confirmation screen.

Does this exist? I mistakenly woke my mother up at 2 AM, so I’m sure you can feel my pain...

Hi Hauserm,

We see you're trying to stop making accidental phone calls. The best way to do this is to lock the screen when you aren't using the device. This will ensure that accidental touches don't lead to outgoing calls.

You can also adjust your settings so that your iPhone locks after a certain amount of time: Use a passcode with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps.

Take care.
