20W charger heating ny phone

I’m using a 20W charger for My iPhone 11, and it heats jo suite a lot. Does this damage my battery?

it is normal for the phone to heat up when its charging initially but it will eventually cool down as the charging cycle optimises. If you phone gets hot when not charging, this would indicate an issue with battery, otherwise nothing to worry about it.
